This Queen Anne Stick Style house was the winner of the 1991 Amherst
Historical Commission's Preservation Award. Architectural features include
front veranda with oriental chippendale and pagoda roof, ornately carved
Swiss-Austrian bargeboard (vergeboard) under gables and multiple relief
shingles. The cherry fireplace mantles are catalogued by the Metropolitan
Museum of Art in New York. Guided tours of this distinctive house are
